Our Rug Cleaning Process
By adhering to this thorough cleaning process, we ensure that each rug is returned to our clients in the best possible condition.
1. Initial Inspection
Upon arrival or pick-up, we conduct a thorough inspection of each rug to obtain exact measurements and document its current condition.
2. Dusting and Vacuuming
Utilizing state-of-the-art machinery, we remove solid carpet dirt such as grit, yarn fractures, house mites, and unwanted dust before proceeding to wash the rugs.
3. Detailed Examination
Before initiating any cleaning process, we carefully examine each rug to determine the most appropriate cleaning methods, materials, and processes to be used. We recognize that each rug is unique and requires specialized treatment.
4. Deep Washing
Our 8-stage, fully computerized washing machines are employed to deep wash the rugs. Each rug is washed and rinsed three times to ensure optimal cleaning results, far surpassing mere surface cleaning.
5. Hand Cleaning If Needed
While our machines are designed for gentle washing, certain special or antique rugs may require meticulous hand cleaning.
6. Fringe Washing
After the main cleaning process, we perform additional fringe washing to ensure that the fringes look their best.
7. Pet Odor and Stain Removal
If any pet odors or stains remain even after three rounds of deep washing and rinsing, we repeat the entire washing process at no extra charge. We never take shortcuts by merely masking odors or stains with chemicals; we completely remove them. Unless discoloration has occurred due to chemical reactions, we guarantee odor- and stain-free rugs.
8. Rinsing and Extracting
During the rinsing stage, we extract 95% of the water from the rug, along with any remaining dirty water. This allows the rug to dry fully within hours, preventing the growth of mold, mildew, or bacteria.
9. Drying
After extracting 95% of the water, the rugs are allowed to dry fully in a dehumidified environment within a few hours. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), it takes 24 to 48 hours for mold and bacteria to start growing. By drying the rugs in less than 12 hours, we guarantee they will be free of mold and bacteria.
10. Grooming and Pampering
Once the rugs are fully dried, we use a powerful grooming and vacuuming machine to remove any remaining dust or loose fibers from both sides of the rug. This process rejuvenates the rug's texture, enhancing its look and feel.
11. Deodorizing
The final step in our rug care process involves deodorizing the rugs with natural scents to leave them smelling fresh.
12. Post-Wash Inspections
After the rugs have dried, we conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure optimal results. Clients will be notified if any additional services or repairs are needed.
